Aetna Insurance company was established in 1850 and entered the health insurance industry in 1899 and has become a top quality name offering health insurance coverage throughout the country. They began re-offering individual health insurance coverage in Colorado in 2006. Aetna offers various options: from five different Managed Choice plans (PPO-type plans), two high-deductible health plans compatible with health savings accounts (HSAs), two hospital plans and an optional dental PPO plan. Each Aetna Advantage Plan is even sold on a child-only contract, so parents are able to get health insurance for their kids, without having to sign up other family members. Aetna Health Inc. Insurance Company has been assigned an A.M. Best rating of A (Excellent).
