United Healthcare Eliminates FACT Fee

United Healthcare/Golden Rule has always required that members joined an association called “FACT” in order to purchase the health insurance.  It was only $3/month, but it was still annoying.  For applicants submitting new applications from today on, there is no more FACT fee!

  1. I have had Golden Rule Health Insurance since February 1, 2008. My premiums was $579.08. On February 1, 2009, my premiums increased from 579.08 to $706.44 a month. I have now received another letter dated June 22, 2009 that my premiums will be going up from $706.44 a month to $762.56 plus FACT Fee of $3.00 = $ 765.56 a month for my premiums. I think I pay enough premiums a month. I think that FACT fee of $3.00 is a rip-off. But knowing Golden Rule, if you don’t have to pay the FACT fee they will make it up on your premiums somehow.
