California will be the first single payer medicare for all state. They passed single payer twice 2006, 2008 both times vetoed by republican governor. They have a new bill SB810 for 2010 and a new governor will be in place. AG Jerry Brown(Dem) who leads in polls, said he would sign the bill into law.
