However, I don&#039;t know if there&#039;s enough in the proposed legislation to ensure that health insurance is affordable, especially with preset coverage minimums that would easily raise the cost of existing &quot;under-insured&quot; plans.  The ongoing push to reduce the cost of the bill through lower subsidies, stricter eligibility criteria and lower penalties is leading to less of the uninsured (particularly healthy ones) being covered. This leads to one big mess of an adverse-selection inundation for insurers, certainly not what they had in mind when they agreed to disregard pre-existing conditions.</description>
