Copayment Plan vs. Deductible Plan

The original benefit rich plans that Kaiser has provided over the years are what has made them so popular. If you want to be able to visit the doctor regularly, a plan with no deductible and fixed copayments for office visits is what you prefer, and you are willing to pay a higher monthly rate for a plan that offers broad coverage and predictable out-of-pocket costs, the $30 copayment plan is what you want.
However, if you want to have a lower premium and don't mind self insuring the small things while saving money tax-free to cover your medical care, Kaiser has affordable HSA qualified plans available. The 100% plan is the most popular. Compare both Kaiser HSA options here.

Beginning with July 1, 2006 effective dates, the $20 Copayment Plan will no longer be offered in Colorado.  In addition, health plan premiums for members currently enrolled in the $20 Copayment Plan will increase 10 percent. Kaiser will not process applications requesting the $20 Copayment Policy postmarked after May 22, 2006.
