[edit] How Maternity Card Works

Maternity card is essentially a discount plan. The company works with providers to help clients "access lower network provider rates, secure public assistance, use direct contracted provider agreements, successfully negotiate medical bills on behalf of members, access pre-negotiated network rates and/or coordinate private scholarships or assistance."[1] Read more about how maternity card compares to the option of adding a "maternity rider" to an individual health insurance plan here.

[edit] Promises

The plan makes the promise to clients: "In the unlikely event that the company does not meet its performance guarantee, Maternity Advantage will pay directly to the member the difference between the value received and the cost of the membership plus an additional $200."[1]
